Plenty of huge names campaigned for Clinton, but failed to help her become President of the US. Madonna, Katy Perry , Beyonce, AND Lady Gaga were among the huge stars to back Hillary Clinton.
But despite dozens of celebs tweeting to their millions of followers, turning up to perform at rallies in the US, and voting for her to become the first female president, they have failed to get Hillary into the White House.
Donald Trump is now OFFICIALLY the 45th President of the United States, proving star power didn't work.
Madonna at a rally in New York:
Madonna, who took to the stage at a rally in New York this week, asked the crowd: "Do we want to become the laughing stock of the planet?”
She went on: "How are we going to keep America great?
"We are going to elect a president who does not discriminate against women, who does not discriminate against the LGBT community, who does not discriminate against people of color, that does not want to build a wall around our country and separate us from the rest of the world. This is a concert about peace."
But her words didn't stop Trump supporters, and she will no doubt be left devastated by the result.
Gaga and Cher are already said to have run backstage sobbing, with one journalist posting on Twitter: "I'm told Lady Gaga is in tears. Cher is in tears. Katy Perry was supposed to sing the national anthem." -words that were just said on MSNBC."
Beyonce, who has also been backing Hillary, remains silent on social media, while Katy Perry tweeted before the result was final: "WE WILL NEVER BE SILENCED. THE REVOLUTION IS COMING." https://twitter.com/ladygaga/status/796224581531013121 …
She also previously posted: "Gonna cry my false eye lashes off tonight."
One Twitter user wrote: " Clinton ended her campaign in Philly following concerts by katyperry, Beyonce & Jay-Z. Star power has failed her # ElectionNight."
A second shared: "Oh my god even Beyoncé couldn't save Hillary Clinton YOU THINK YOU KNOW SOMEONE'S STAR POWER AND THEN U DON'T."
