Cry At The Master’s Feet By Dr Chris Okafor

Friday, 16 December 2016 06:39

When Jesus understood it, He said unto them, why trouble ye the woman? For she has wrought a good work upon me. For ye have the poor always with you, but me ye have not always. For in that he hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial. Mathew 26: 10-12.

Have you ever wondered why this woman did what he did? The life you live identifies and classifies you. There are a lot of people whose destiny have been stolen by the devil and now they live lives that are not theirs. They are scum of the communities, social misfit who by virtue of their lifestyles have lost all dignity and sense of worth. Meanwhile people are honored as dignitaries not because they requested to be so honored but because they lived to be so honored.

Take for instance a man favored by God, who work hard to make wealth and uses his wealth to pamper his family and upgrade the quality of life of his community. He provides scholarship for less privileged children, portable water and other social amenities for his people; he doesn’t have to ask to be recognized as a leader amongst such people. Likewise for the drunk who is a nuisance to his community or the whore who wrecks homes and spreads STDs to her patrons; they are automatically rejected and treated as scum.

That is why people who knew the reputation of the woman with the Alabaster box wondered Jesus allowed her to touch Him. Mathew and Mark says she poured the oil on the Master’s head but Luke says she was a sinful woman who wept and anointed His feet. But she came prepared, she was fed up with the life she lived and the fragrant was the symbol of the new life she wanted. She wept her repentance and poured out her new life as a sacrifice at the Master’s feet. Her sacrifice became the sacrifice that prepared Jesus for the greater ultimate sacrifice at the cross. A good cry of repentance at the Master’s right now will erase your past life of shame and your gratitude will rise up as a fragrant sacrifice that will secure your beautiful new life.

Don’t hesitate to share on your favorite social media platform using the button above as you pray along as follows:

  • No weapon formed against me shall prosper; I return every arrow back to sender, in the name of Jesus.
  • I cover my life, my destiny and dreams with the blood of Jesus, in the mighty name of Jesus
  • Father, thank you because I am a new creation, in the name of Jesus.
